The following is a table of parameters that classify the surface finish grade of stainless steel.

Grade Features and Applications
NO.1 Hot-rolled and heat-treated and pickled surfaces. Generally used for cold-rolled materials, industrial tanks, chemical industry installations, etc.
NO.2D Hot-rolled and heat-treated and pickled surfaces. Generally used for cold-rolled materials, industrial tanks, chemical industry installations, etc.
NO.2B NO.2D is tempered and rolled to a better gloss and flatness than NO.2D surface. With a surface treatment that improves mechanical properties, it meets almost all applications.
NO.3 Products ground from 100~120 gauge abrasive belts. Has a better gloss with discontinuous coarse grain. Used for interior and exterior decorative materials of buildings, electrical products and kitchen equipment, etc.
NO.4 Products ground with 150~180 abrasive belt. Has a better gloss with discontinuous coarse lines and finer stripes than NO.3. Used for baths, interior and exterior building decoration materials, electrical products, kitchen equipment and food equipment, etc.
#240 The No.2D or No.2B processing material was ground with an abrasive belt of 240 grit, kitchen utensils.
#320 The product is ground out with 320 abrasive belt. Has a better gloss with discontinuous coarse lines and finer stripes than NO.4. Used for baths, interior and exterior building decoration materials, electrical products, kitchen equipment and food equipment.
#400 No.2B material was polished and processed with No.400 polish, construction material, kitchenware.
HL Products with abrasive patterns generated by continuous grinding of appropriate grit polishing abrasive belts (subdivision 150~320 gauge). It is mainly used for architectural decoration, elevators, doors and panels of buildings, etc.
BA The product is obtained by cold rolling and then applying bright annealing and flattening. Excellent surface gloss with high reflectivity. Like a mirror surface. Used for home appliances, mirrors, kitchen equipment, decorative materials, etc.
