2520 stainless steel tube is the abbreviation of 0Cr25Ni20(310s) stainless steel, belongs to austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel system. Because of the high chromium content and nickel content, this steel has a good high temperature creep strength, at high temperatures can continue to work, with good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance for exhaust ducts, heat treatment furnace, heat exchangers, incinerators and other requirements of heat resistance of high heat or high temperature contact parts, the use of a wide range of temperatures, generally below 1 000 ℃.

At present, there are very few reports on the oxidation behavior of 2520 stainless steel under high temperature conditions, and many discussions have yet to be confirmed by experimental studies. This paper mainly through the 2520 stainless steel high-temperature oxidation experiments, the determination of the oxidation kinetic curve, the use of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy spectrum analysis (EDS) and other techniques, the oxidation process of the oxide film formed during the morphology and composition of the study, inferred the high-temperature oxidation mechanism of 2520 stainless steel.
